About Bad Kreuznach

A spa & wine town on the river Nahe

Bad Kreuznach is a beautiful town in the German state of Rheinland-Pfalz. It is known for its medieval bridge, the Alte Nahebrücke, dating from around 1300 — one of the very few remaining bridges in the world with houses built directly on it.

The town is also famous for its vineyards, mostly Riesling and Silvaner, and for its open-air saline works where salty mineral air is used for wellness. Bad Kreuznach has a population of about 51,000 people.
